Quinn Hart - Welcome
Almost a decade ago, my brother and I made haphazard plans for a fantasy world out of boredom. Eventually it became something much bigger as it evolved into an epic story about an alternate universe called the Astral Sea, and it’s many worlds each with variants of physics blurring the lines between science and magic.
We began telling the story in our own ways, my brother through music, and myself through paint and pencil, and each from the unique perspective of two different worlds within the Astral Sea. Films and games like Avatar, Lord of The Rings, and the Elder Scrolls series inspired me, and having been obsessed with animals and nature from the start, I made a hobby out of creating my own conceptual worlds and ecosystems with creature and character designs.
With my brother having since moved on to other goals, I took my own experience in world building to continue bringing our stories to life.
The Astral Archives is the lifelong project of mine, to tell these interconnected stories, starting with this animated short following the origin of our original two conceptual planets from the first and oldest world of the Astral Sea.
Welcome to Ascenthius. A dimension where the embodiments of reality and physics materialize as conscious entities upon an endless plane of grey, to discover themselves and their importance to one another.
